SBI Holdings announced that they are planning to use Ripple’s solutions in order for users in Japan to have better access to ATMs. This is according to a recent report the company released. They also informed they are also providing international remittance services on top of Ripple’s Ledger for foreign residents in Fukushima Prefecture.

It is worth mentioning that the SBI Group is closely working and cooperating with the U.S. company R3 in order to improve payments and transfer standards. This could indeed become the “De Facto Standard of the Next Generation Through Investment.”

At the same time, SBI Holdings is working so as to integrate the MoneyTap application with ATMs located throughout the country. This would allow a large number of users to have access to funds independently from the bank account users’ have.

On the matter, the report explained:

“Currently, each bank has an ATM with its own bank app, but with a common web app, the same ATM may be used as its own jointly operated multi-bank ATM.”

This is certainly going to help Ripple increase the number of users that rely on the RippleNet and on their services. Moreover, it will certainly be helpful to expand Ripple use cases around the world and attract new companies to their network.

Currently, XRP is the third-largest cryptocurrency in the world with a price per coin of $0.2011.
